Bulk Air Conditioning Recycling covers end-of-life HVAC units, split systems, ducted systems, refrigeration equipment and related e-waste. Electronics Recycler services Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra. We are a bulk recycler; complimentary pickup is contingent on sufficient volume. We will work with you to determine if you qualify.

What We Recycle

We accept air conditioning units (wall, floor, ceiling), ducted systems, refrigeration plant, condensers, evaporators and associated controls and cabling. Our service reaches contractors and facilities across each capital — from Sydney’s Penrith and Campbelltown to Melbourne’s Dandenong and Epping, Brisbane’s Ipswich and Gold Coast hinterland, and Canberra’s Fyshwick and Hume. We have public drop-off options at our Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra sites for smaller quantities; for bulk loads we arrange pickup where volume qualifies.

Recyclable Components in Air Conditioning and HVAC

HVAC and refrigeration equipment contains significant recoverable material. Recycling supports resource recovery and ensures refrigerants and other substances are handled properly. Typical recyclable materials include:

  • Copper and aluminium: Condenser and evaporator coils, piping, compressors. High-value metals recovered.
  • Steel: Cabinets, frames, compressor housings. Sorted and recycled.
  • Refrigerants: Recovered in line with regulations before processing. Not released to atmosphere.
  • Plastics: Grilles, fan housings, control enclosures. Sorted for recycling where possible.
  • Circuit boards and controls: Electronic boards and thermostats — processed for metal recovery and compliant handling.
  • Compressors and motors: Copper windings, steel and aluminium; oil and other fluids handled appropriately.

We work with compliant pathways for refrigerant recovery and for the recycling of metals and plastics so that equipment is diverted from landfill.

Bulk Volume and Free Pickup

We focus on bulk air conditioning recycling. Free pickup is contingent on there being sufficient volume. We will work with you to assess your quantity (number of units or approximate tonnage) and location and confirm whether you qualify for complimentary collection. Smaller volumes can be dropped off at our facilities in each of the four cities. We can support both one-off clear-outs and ongoing streams from HVAC contractors.

Who Uses This Service

HVAC and refrigeration contractors, facility managers, building owners and developers replacing or decommissioning plant. We predominantly service Australian business and work with trade and commercial clients across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra. Our process supports compliance and documentation for your records.

Next Steps

Provide your location (city and suburb), type and approximate volume of equipment. We will confirm pickup eligibility or direct you to drop-off.
