Electrical Recycling for Electricians
Recycling of electrical e-waste from trade and commercial work. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra.
Electrical Recycling for Electricians gives trade and commercial electricians a clear pathway for end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment: cables, switchgear, lighting, controls and related e-waste. Electronics Recycler services Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra. We are a bulk recycler; complimentary pickup is contingent on sufficient volume. We will work with you to determine if you qualify.
What We Recycle
We accept electrical cabling (power, data, communications), old switchboards and switchgear, lighting fixtures and ballasts, dimmers, timers, sensors and other electrical e-waste from commercial and industrial jobs. Our service covers each capital and key suburbs — including Sydney’s Liverpool and Blacktown, Melbourne’s Sunshine and Bayswater, Brisbane’s Rocklea and Wacol, and Canberra’s Mitchell and Queanbeyan. We have public drop-off options at our Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra facilities for smaller loads.
Recyclable Components in Electrical E-Waste
Electrical equipment contains valuable and recoverable materials. Recycling diverts these from landfill and supports resource recovery. Typical recyclable materials include:
- Copper and aluminium: Cables, busbars, windings in transformers and motors. High-value metals recovered through stripping or shredding.
- Steel and other metals: Enclosures, conduit, fittings and lamp housings. Sorted and recycled.
- Plastics: Cable sheathing, switchgear housings, light fittings. Sorted for recycling where possible.
- Circuit boards: In smart switches, sensors and lighting controls — processed for metal recovery and compliant handling.
- Glass: From lighting fixtures and tubes. Processed appropriately.
- Ballasts and capacitors: May contain hazardous materials; handled in line with regulations. Metals and other components recovered where feasible.
We ensure materials are processed in compliance with Australian standards. Documentation can be provided for your records and for tender or compliance requirements.
Bulk Volume and Free Pickup
We focus on bulk electrical recycling. Free pickup is contingent on there being sufficient volume. We will work with you to assess your quantity and location and confirm whether you qualify for complimentary collection. Smaller volumes are welcome at our drop-off facilities in each of the four cities. We can also arrange on-site bins for ongoing collection from larger trade or contracting operations.
Who Uses This Service

We predominantly service Australian business and work with trades and industrial clients across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra. Our process is straightforward so you can get back to the job.
