Plumber Recycling
E-waste recycling for plumbers and trade: pumps, controls and electrical items. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra.
Plumber Recycling gives plumbers and related trades a clear pathway for end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment from jobs: pumps, controllers, hot water systems with electrical components, and other e-waste. Electronics Recycler services Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra. We are a bulk recycler; complimentary pickup is contingent on sufficient volume. We will work with you to determine if you qualify.
What We Recycle
We accept electric and electronic components from plumbing and building services: circulation pumps, controller units, timers, thermostats, old hot water systems (with electrical parts), and similar e-waste. Our service covers each capital and key suburbs — from Sydney’s Parramatta and Auburn to Melbourne’s Reservoir and Thomastown, Brisbane’s Chermside and Capalaba, and Canberra’s Belconnen and Tuggeranong. We have public drop-off options at our Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra facilities for smaller loads; bulk volumes may qualify for pickup.
Recyclable Components in Plumber E-Waste
Plumbing-related e-waste contains recoverable materials. Recycling diverts these from landfill. Typical recyclable materials include:
- Copper and other metals: Motor windings in pumps, copper in heating elements and wiring. Recovered through processing.
- Steel and aluminium: Pump housings, controller enclosures, hot water system casings. Sorted and recycled.
- Plastics: Casing and pipe fittings. Sorted for recycling where possible.
- Circuit boards: In controllers and timers — processed for metal recovery and compliant handling.
- Glass and insulation: From hot water units and sensors; handled appropriately.
We ensure materials are processed in compliance with Australian standards. For larger HVAC or refrigeration items that plumbers sometimes remove (e.g. heat pumps), see our Bulk Air Conditioning Recycling service. For general electrical cabling and controls, see Electrical Recycling for Electricians.
Bulk Volume and Free Pickup
We focus on bulk recycling. Free pickup is contingent on there being sufficient volume. We will work with you to assess your quantity and location and confirm whether you qualify for complimentary collection. Smaller volumes are welcome at our drop-off facilities in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra. We can support both one-off clear-outs and ongoing streams from trade operations.
Who Uses This Service
Plumbers, plumbing contractors, building services and facility managers who need to dispose of e-waste from upgrades and replacements. We predominantly service Australian business and work with trade clients across our four cities. Our process is straightforward so you can focus on the job.
